Aurora Studio & Gallery
With a plan to be a nonprofit in the RAD, opening spring of 2013, The Aurora Studio and Gallery has the unique mission of providing a supportive art studio for those affected by mental illness; where folks may gather and express themselves through the visual arts; enabling them to heal, grow and thrive.
Our studio will offer a collective art space for 6 - 8 artists affected by mental illness, homelessness and/or addiction (who are in early recovery). We will provide artists the space and art supplies to explore their personal creativity, which they could not otherwise afford. Our collective will work with area artists, healing arts instructors, and volunteers to create an integrative structure for artists to flourish. |
Aurora Studio & Gallery is in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) (nonprofit). We hope to be able to start fundraising this summer, for our opening at the beginning of next year. More information will be posted soon. At Nourish & Flourish, we believe that you have a right to feel alive, vital, joyous, and free. Odyssey Center
Odyssey Studios & Gallery, 238 Clingman Ave., is dedicated to providing a place where clay, creativity and community meet. Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts, 236 Clingman Ave., is a studio school which promotes understanding, appreciation and professional development in the ceramic arts. Under the stewardship of Highwater Clays both programs are based on the philosophy that every individual’s creative capacity is greatly enhanced by a generous community, challenging instruction and a passion for clay.
