This painting, as with most of my work, was inspired by childhood memories of playing amongst large trees. This, coupled with a fascination with contrasting light, form and color, brings forth an engaging scape within the cool haven of the dark trunks while looking forth to sun- drenched grasses and distant autumn-colored hills.
