I use etchings, woodcuts and collage to make one-of-a-kind prints.

I recently moved to the Asheville area after living in Minneapolis for twenty years.
I grew up in Boston and studied art at the Boston Museum School and received a degree from Tufts University. In 2002, after receiving a grant in sculpture from the Minnesota State Arts Board, I wanted to use some of the funds to learn a new skill. I decided to pursue and study etching. Soon I was also making wood cuts and combining those with the prints from the copper etchings. I began cutting out some of the prints and adding them as one more layer. Each process is done by hand and is time-consuming but this slow pace allows each image to evolve on its own.
