Nadine Charlsen 1

Improvising the urban landscape – gritty, stark, rough – using shadow, texture, color, and glazes

Open 11-5 Mon-Sat Summer, 12-4 Mon-Sat winter
Riverview Station, 310 Art
191 Lyman Street

My background as a theatrical set/lighting designer has allowed me to incorporate my knowledge of light and shadow, large and small-scale objects, textures and colors to culminate an artistic drama. My work is created from the occasion that makes it unique and with its own particular style. The style is a product of the time and place.

Nadine is a resident studio artist at 310 ART with studio and exhibition space in the gallery.

Nadine is life member of the Art Students League Salmagundi Club and the National Association of Women Artists. She is also an award winning and published international artist.

Wife and I had the pleasure to meet Nadine as the first artist in the RAD area. Nadine is so gifted as an artist and very helpful and personable. She stopped working on her train painting and talked to my wife and I about the district and how to see the local craft areas. Nadine provided us with pamphlets and maps of the arts district and tips on local restaurants! She also has a great dog that will greet you when entering her studio.
Thanks for all of your help Nadine!
