I like to work in all painting mediums…watercolor, acrylic, oils and encaustic bees wax. I paint landscapes, nonobjective abstracts, and figurative. My work is connected by my color palette and textures which further enhances the images I paint. I use nontraditional methods of painting, rarely using brushes, but instead using an air brush, eyedroppers, twigs, print rollers, palette knives and scrapers. For me, painting is process of putting on a layer of colors and then removing the layer, gouging it, blending it…and then starting again with another layer, until I am satisfied that the painting matches the image in my mind’s eye.

I am for the most part, self taught, which gives me the freedom of trying anything…I don’t know that it is “not supposed” to be done that way.  This leads to wonderful surprises.

I sell out of Curve Studios at 12 Riverside Drive in Asheville.  I have a surprising number of collectors who have found my work on line, or in my own personal studio in Florida.  My paintings are in corporate and private collections in New York City, Roanoke, VA., Winston Salem and Charlotte, NC, Palm Beach and Boca Rotan, FL,  Connecticut,  Los Angelos, CA, New Jersey, and more.
