Congratulations to River District Artist Leonard Lopatin for a successful performance of Prokofieff's Sonata for Flute and Piano at the New England Flute Fair of the Greater Boston Flute Association on October 27, 2007. Lopatin, whose flute-making studio has been in the Cotton Mill Studio on Riverside Drive since 2003, was the featured performer at this fair, accompanied by Deborah Emery, one of the Boston area's pre-eminent collaborative pianists. Stroll into Lopatin's studio on November 10 and 11 and listen to some of the music which inspired one NEFF attendee to comment: "It takes a master to make it sound so easy."
