Curve Studios is a trinity of art workspaces located in Asheville’s River Arts District. Take this opportunity to meet Curve Studios newest artists as well as revisiting artists you know during our Open House Sale Friday, May 2nd from 4-8pm and Saturday May 3rd from 12-6pm.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Insurgents

Flood Gallery Fine Art Center proudly presents Insurgents, curated by its recently hired Assistant Director, Reneé M. Cagnina. This exhibition subversively addresses the internal battles that plague the psyches of its participating artists and exemplifies a unique ability to diplomatically address politics through vibrant illustrations. Insurgents will run April 5th through May 11th, 2008

The Flood Gallery is located in the Phil Mechanic Studios Building at 109 Roberts Street in the River Arts District.

Plusher John Murphy of the Stupid Creatures Toy Company has opened a shop on renowned internet craft bazaar Etsy.com. You can find work from his studio at www.stupidcreatures.etsy.com. The shop has been open for about two weeks. Etsy shopkeepers are encouraged to "heart" him.

In April we will explore Abstract art historically and in practice with a special topics class in “Abstract Painting”. The River Arts District neighborhood “Potluck Lunch” at Phil Mechanic Studios is kicking off this Thursday, April 10th, at 12:00 noon and continues every Thursday throughout the summer. Bring a dish to share and enjoy lunch with neighborhood artists.
