Jonas Gerard to hang at Hotel Indigo

13-story Hotel Indigo is set to open in downtown Asheville this month, the first hotel construction downtown since mid-1980s and the former site of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.The interior also emphasizes the natural world, with oversized windows offering mountain views, large canvases by local painters like Jonas Gerard, bamboo sprouting from beds of river rocks, and calming green, purple and teal colors on the walls of its 100 guest rooms.
