My work is primarily colorful marbling on functional pottery that is microwave and dishwasher safe and oven proof to 350 degrees. My hand-built pieces include Blue Ridge mountain scenes designed to be hung on the wall. Proceeds from all my work are donated to MANNA FoodBank, which distributes food to the 16 counties in Western North Carolina.
Years ago in another mountain town, in a simpler time, I made pottery for a living. I’ve been lucky; I’ve always had a home, a job and enough to eat. After retiring to Asheville I wanted to ‘give back’ for my good fortune, so I combined my passion for making pottery with my desire to help others.
Bottom line, these mountains are special, and so are the people that live here.
