Justine Briggs’ art sits at the crossroads of psychedelia and occult, visionary and fantasy. Highly process driven with a focus on intricate stippling and patterning, their work involves ritual and sacrifice, lending weight to already charged images of old gods, nature seething, and feminine power watching the world unfold. While the imagery can fly into the most extraordinary realms of fantasy, the intention behind the images keeps a firm footing in real world struggles. Gender, sexuality, religion, natural destruction, abuse, and resilience are all addressed by renderings of heightened beings in vibrating settings. This work has the ability to heal and hex.

Justine lives and works in Asheville, North Carolina with their partner and two powerful daughters.
