Abstract Acrylics with Gelli Prints & Handmade Stencils: with Artist Michelle Hamilton

A brand new class created by local artist Michelle Hamilton! You are in for a real treat!
You will spend the evening creating your own hand-made stencils and diving into the widely versatile & fun medium of gel plates with acrylic paints, creating your own prints onto heavy print paper, then incorporating these papers into a larger design.
You’ll first design and create your own unique stash of stencils and then experiment on practice papers to get a sense for mediums and the techniques of gelli printing. The sky is the limit to what you can create with this combo! This medium lends itself well to both abstract and more specific compositions.
During the second part of the class, Michelle will invite you to begin working on 5×7 and 8×10 heavier print papers where you’ll create several pieces to bring home. Great for using in future projects or as finished works of art!
