Beginning Knitting

This workshop is a 2-day deep dive into everything you will need to know to get you started on what is sure to be a long and wonderful journey into wide world of knitting. You will learn basic techniques such as casting on, knit & purl stitches and casting off. You will learn to read a pattern AND how to fix mistakes (you don’t need to ‘frog’ a whole project! You will also learn what ‘frogging’ means). The first day of the workshop will involved making a basic washcloth and by the second day you can choose whether to make a scarf or a hat. The instructor will provide beginner patterns and the most sumptuous starter kit of natural fiber yarn, knitting needles and other knitting accessories that will enable you to take off and make anything your heart desires from that point forward.
