August 26, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm$55.00
Join us for a Friday evening gathering of creative community, for an invitation to engage in creative play with nature elements with art therapist Ann-Marie Kilpatrick.
In this class, we will each create a pressed botanical collage on canvas, working with acrylic paints to create a background and various arrangements of pressed flowers to create a composition that feels good. During this course of this evening, we will also have the opportunity to play creatively as a whole group, where we each contribute to a collective community art-marking experience. You’ll be invited to play and create w/ botanical elements together with other class members, as we work together to create a community flower mandala in our studio using cut flowers and natural elements.
As an art therapist and group facilitator, Ann Marie encourages people to allow the art-making experience to help us connect mindfully to our creative voice within. Connecting with nature as we create is one pathway for doing this, not to mention that it is happiness inducing!
Wind down from your work week with us and invite the weekend intention as you explore your natural curiosity to create during this class. Bring a friend or come meet a new one as we gather together in our community!
All supplies and materials included.
This class is for anyone in the community over the age of 11. No experience needed.
