Opening reception for gallery exhibit, “Dead of Winter,” curated by Justine Briggs.
Winter always draws out meditations on death. A season of physical hardship and unrelenting stillness calls for us to either succumb to darkness or become one with it. Dead of Winter draws power from the bleak, warmth from surrender, and dives headlong into the power of art to turn defeat into celebration.
