Encaustic Monotype Printmaking

In this workshop we will learn to use melted encaustic wax, an assortment of tools, stencils and lightweight backing materials to create collograph printing matrix. Using safer, soy-based inks we will print our plates in a variety of ways, both by hand and with a press. Makers will come away with a small, unique collection of prints and textured papers that can be further enhanced with other media. All level of learners are welcome! Class fee covers all tools and materials.
