Featured Artists: Judi Harwood and Jenny Buckner

Ceramic artist Judi Harwood is the featured artist at The Village Potters for Horse: Passion and Fire. Judi is a founding member of The Village Potters, and her work features sculpture, Raku, and other forms of alternative firings, including horse hair, obvara, sagger, and naked raku.
Jenny Buckner grew up in Brevard, North Carolina and now lives in Waynesville. She discovered her natural gift for composition and color following a difficult time in her life, and was encouraged by her mother, who is also a local artist. She particularly enjoys painting animals, flowers, and children, and maintains a busy portrait schedule. Her work has been singled out for numerous awards in shows across the country,
Both Judi and Jenny are producing new works for a special exhibit, Horse: Passion and Fire, opening in conjunction with the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, NC. The show will run from September 14 – November 25 in The Village Potters Gallery, and an opening reception will be hosted on Friday, September 14 from 4-6:30PM.
