Join us in our River Arts District Studio to learn how to install a pressed cane seat. This type of caning is also known as sheet cane, machine caning, or loom-woven caning. The class is done in two parts, removal and installation. All levels welcome, beginners will leave with a perfect seat and the ability to restore their chairs at home. Intermediate weavers can learn tips and tricks to speed up their practice. Chairs are available for a nominal fee if you need one.
Tuition includes 6 hours of instruction, all tools and materials to complete one seat, after-class assistance on future projects, and $25 off future chair caning classes.
