Come create your own unique stamp and patterned textile!
In this class Lauren will guide you to consider individual and connective composition as you design and hand-carve a stamp that you’ll then use to print a pattern on a tea towel or other textile of your choice. We’ll use textile inks so that your piece can be washed regularly after curing and heat-setting.
One freshly white cotton tea towel will be provided (we will also have cotton canvas pouches and canvas totes). Feel free to bring an additional textile of your own to upcycle and re-invigorate if you choose!
Though not necessary, you may wish to bring some simple designs or sketched ideas that inspire you. (There will also be examples in the studio to spark your imagination.)
All materials are provided. No experience is needed.
Tea and light snacks will be provided. In addition to your hand-printed towel, you’ll leave with a unique hand-carved stamp you can re-use again and again!
