In addition to the majority of studios being open for this special night, there will be a variety of events and workshops, as well as live music and refreshments to make this a truly enjoyable evening. Live Music: Stevie Lee Combs, 5-7pm
Stevie Lee Comb’s music is an omnivorous strand of Americana that seeks to blend urban/rural traditions. Stevie is an avid street performer and thrives on local and community-based festivals and events. After taking a family trip through Tennessee and Kentucky at age 8, he was forever fascinated by the culture and music of Appalachia; which is filtered (with absolute respect and reverence) through his songwriting and style with urban elements of blues, rock and roll, and even a hint of hip-hop.

Sky + Ground Contemporary Art with Peter Roux Studio
Artist Talk: Peter Roux, 7:30pm
Peter Roux’s landscapes speak to the nature of contemporary spatial experience, often informed by the vocabularies of the narrative edit. Motion, time, and movement weave in as concerns in his abstract work as well, ultimately exploring similar themes.

Peter is represented by a number of galleries across the country, including Alan Avery Art Company in Atlanta, Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, and Robischon Gallery in Denver. His work is held in numerous private and corporate collections, including upcoming commissions for Mission Health and the Arras Hotel.

Peter will discuss his approach to painting as “an act of seeing” and the relationships between his work and that of others in the gallery. Q&A to follow.
