"I focus on things close to my heart.....my soul. I paint trees and mountains and streams because they are part of the majesty of the Blue Ridge Parkway that surrounds me.....that I love.
The animals I paint because these are intensely beautiful beings with strong sense of family and community. The elephants have an incredible power......and at the same time are one of the most compassionate beings on this world. And the zebras.....it is like painting shadows--shadows that create the shape of the steed, and tell you how full its belly is and how soft its muzzle is.
My art brings me such joy.......I hope it brings you joy as well.
