My work focuses on capturing fleeting moments in time. Using thick paint, rich colors, and gestural brush work, I explore movement, light, and glimpses of the beauty that surrounds us. Although always triggered by direct observation, my paintings are developed from visual memories — the after-image of something I’ve seen that remains in my mind's eye. This process allows me to move freely between observation, memory, and invention, to distill my original experience, embroider upon it, and to celebrate extraordinary moments of unnoticed beauty.
