Lynn’s work both as an artist and psychotherapist investigates the inner narratives and the stories one develops to make sense of life. Her work explores ideas of uncertainty and the tension of opposites as we navigate the endless stream of events, images, feelings, thoughts and actions that constitute our day-to-day lives. “In this complicated world of chaos and order,” she says, “My work seeks to look at how we negotiate our personal identity and history.” Her encaustic paintings of houses, grids, containers, and elements of the natural world are metaphors for what holds our stories, dreams and the psycho/ spiritual underpinnings of human nature.
