I transform loose fibers into fine art pieces. Each vessel, window piece or "sill sitter" is composed of bits of silk, mohair, wool and bamboo sewn (not felted) into a flat piece of "fibric", rather like a piece of fabric. After shaping, there are multiple layers of metallic paint and epoxy. Many people comment that because of the way the light passes through the "fibric", the pieces look like stained glass. I'd be happy to work with you to create just the right piece for a space in your home, or to give as a gift.
