Art Garden AVL is a fresh new collaborative art space in the RAD, housing five studios, a gallery and garden, dedicated to supporting emerging Asheville area artists and creative community. We are a hub for intentional activism and education as well as art – hosting workshops, gatherings and events focused on community enrichment, self-empowerment, and racial & social justice. The gallery curates thought-provoking art exhibits, meet-ups, poetry slams, plant swaps, art-strikes, and more. The garden is an ever-evolving work of art itself, and will grow to include beds dedicated to dye and pigment plants, pollinator plants, medicinal herbs, remediation plants, etc, lending itself as a learning place for people to become better acquainted with plant allies.
