Fashion : Pattiy Torno has been designing and making clothes her entire adult life. In #3 CURVE @ 3 River Arts Place, you will most likely find her cutting or sewing, the reason she calls what she does "designer handmade ready to wear". Pattiy has always sewn knit fabrics. Her clothing must move, flow, wash easily and travel well. They look good on any gal who brings her own fine form to the table! Feel free to come try on a few pieces!
Fine Art : Pattiy has invented a process she calls "Fotopiecing". Fotopiecings” is the term I arrived at in 1995 to describe the marriage of my quilt and photographic work. Fotopiecings are images that I stitch together from the familiar, inspiring, beautiful, colorful, geometric, repetitive, textural I stumble upon in the world I inhabit. Often a juxtaposition of the natural and the man / machine made, these images create their own atmosphere. Sometimes with a shadow of my former self.
Furnishings : Need a cozy throw for your sofa? Stop by the studio! Pattiy has been sourcing soft, colorful, fun fleece for over 20 years and making her signature Couch Throws and Baby Blankets to cuddle under. In addition, over the past 35 years Pattiy has been making heirloom quilts. Some of her quilts are available for viewing and purchase in the back studio here @ CURVE.
