Christine Abassary is an experiential artist combining color, nature and spirituality she finds within her surroundings throughout the beautiful Blue ridge mountains, “I have cherished a love for painting and the arts as far back as I can remember.” She works initially with paint including watercolors, oils, gouache, inks, and encaustics which can have unintended outcomes. Eventually within this process she finds a symbolic meaning or it will emerge. Through painting primarily she seeks to communicate her intuitive process. Prior to the historic hurricane in western North Carolina she began a series symbolizing the 7 chakras of healing with the original piece RISE, a dragonfly signifying overcoming adversity; akin to a rising phoenix. She then decided to launch Rise Art AVL with the recent opening of RAD Rendezvous.
