Working with clay is an experience that brings immense creative satisfaction, as well as physical and mental engagement. The process of molding and shaping clay allows for personal expression and hands-on involvement, making it a deeply rewarding practice.
Influence of Japanese Culture
My artistic journey was profoundly shaped by the five years I lived in Japan. During this time, I had the opportunity to study Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. This practice has remained a significant part of my life for over 24 years, continually inspiring my creative work.
Integration of Clay and Ikebana
Through my dedication to both clay artistry and Ikebana, I have been able to merge these two forms of art. I create containers, vases, and various forms specifically designed for Ikebana arrangements, seamlessly combining my skills and passions in both disciplines.
