Layer Up with Cold Wax and Oil Paint with Cindy Walton

Explore the diversity of Oil Paint and Cold Wax medium with abstract painter Cindy Walton in this three-day intensive. Cold wax medium is wonderful for oil painters to experiment with by using non-traditional tools to achieve texture and finishes similar to encaustic but using oil paint! With this medium oil painters will explore new techniques, consider compositions when exploring abstraction, mixing colors, layering paint and introducing textures to create a rich surface that will give depth and meaning to your work. Cindy supplies cold wax and assorted supplies – materials list will be provided approximately a month before class so you can prepare.

Please note: some painting experience with oils or acrylics is helpful. See intro classes at 310ART.COM to get you prepared. Cold wax is NOT compatible with acrylic paint.
