Goals:
Have fun.
Learn basic analog (cut by hand) paper collage techniques.
Learn how to transfer a photo onto a surface.
Basic cutting and gluing, building layers to create depth.
Complete the foundation of building a portrait of your favorite fur or feathered friend.
Age: Teen, Adults
Learner Level: Beginners, Intermediate
Provided: Practice boards and panels will be provided.
I will also provide a wide selection of papers and gel medium.
Tracing paper.
Scissors. Paper towels. Finger cots.
Bring: 8 X 10 photo of your pet. This is a PORTRAIT class so please no full photo of your animal or tiny animal running in a landscape.
Colorful papers or magazines.
Apron or clothes you do mind getting a little glue on.
Don’t forget to bring a beverage and snack.
This can be a serious portrait or something whimsical and silly. If you think you “can’t draw”, I’ll teach you a way to “cheat” to get the image down.
Everyone can do this! Don’t be intimidated. It’s all about learning, experimenting, community and having fun.
