Chit-Chat Fashion Show: Talking about Leaves is hosted by Asheville designers Susan Sertain and Viola Spells. Susan and Viola have collaborated to bring Asheville a fresh approach to fashion shows and will host the event at ZenobiaStudio in the Pink Dog Creative building. Chit-Chat is a must, if you follow local fashion and enjoy fashion shows in a unique setting. This show is free to the public.
The “Leaves” theme is in honor of the fall season. People come from all over to see the changing of the “colors” (changing of the leaves). Models will wear vintage clothing with jewelry made of crochet wire with metal leaves (silver, copper and steel). The show will be divided into two sections: Casual and After 5 Dress. Models will first drift in with day wear and meander through the audience. The audience will be able to see the clothes and jewelry up-close and ask questions. The second half is the same except the dress and jewelry will be “After 5.” Jamaican and vegetarian treats will be served.
