Encaustic Tools and Techniques – 2 day beginner class

This 2 day, 5 hour class (5:30-8 pm each day) with Kate Colclaser will introduce you to encaustic art and give you techniques in how to apply wax for different effects and add different elements to give the work your personal flavor.
We will have various tools available for you to experiment with—papers, colored wax, photos, incising tools, irons, wax pens, pan pastels, oil sticks, glue and shellac.

Materials provided: tools, wax, heating elements, boards.
Student provides: old shirt or apron to protect your clothing and rubber gloves if you have them.
Bring a beverage and snack.
