Join local artist Barbara Francois at ArtPlay for this Saturday evening of creativity and community. In this class, you will be invited to let go of preconceived ideas about art-making and tap into your intuitive self as you play and explore with the creation of dots and their movements across the page. What rhythms, forms and shapes will emerge as you begin making marks through the interplay of acrylic paints, dots and colors?
Barbara will encourage you to trust your intuitive sense of mark-making as you play and create on your backgrounds, inviting you to put aside ideas about “right” and “wrong”, as you dive into the flow of movement of your marks on the page. You will have plenty of opportunity to experience pure play with the dot-making process, on several practice backgrounds as well as a 12×16 canvas that you will take home.
