Self-Portrait Collage with Fariba Theme: “What Makes Me Different – What Makes Me Me”

Level: Adults & Teens – no artistic skills or training necessary

What to expect:
In this class you will create a type of “self-portrait” collage, which is far from a traditional portrait. You will bring your subconscious inner self and humor to paper and surprise yourself. Don’t be afraid to dive into your inner self, be playful! You will create with deep thought and humor. Every piece will be as unique as we all are.

What to bring to class:
Bring a pair of sharp scissors and at least 25 pieces to choose from which could be: Copies of personal photos, images from magazines or even complete magazines to share, copies out of books (out of a children’s book for example or your favorite book), print offs from the Internet, a favorite quote or poem, pieces of wallpaper, copies of musical notes, handmade papers, or any personal items that can be glued on paper. You can also bring original photos, but be aware that they might be cut apart, glued on and painted over, so copies are always a good choice.

I will provide a base to create on, additional papers, glues, paints, markers, coloring pens and paint brushes.
