This will be a comprehensive, preemptive overview of the basics of landscape painting in oil. If you are interested in getting into plein air painting but haven’t had much, if any, exposure, this is for you!
This 5 hour workshop will cover the basics for anyone new to landscape painting, oil paints, or painting in general. If you are a beginner, please do this! We will break for 30 mins mid day for lunch.
We will go over the materials and do some small exercises, talk about the main concepts of building strong paintings and take the edge off of any fear you might have about diving in!
Painting outdoors is such a great way to spend time in nature.

This class will be held outside at Art Garden AVL, weather permitting, if there is rain we will host this workshop in The Canopy.
