Circular Weaving offers a wonderfully meditative weaving practice as you travel around the loom. Curious about this type of weaving or new to weaving? Join Local Cloth Instructor Courtney LaCaria on Tuesday, February 27, from 10am to 5pm for this full-day Introduction to Circular Weaving class covering the basic weaving techniques on a circular loom!
During the class, we’ll cover how to create yarn butterflies for weaving, how to warp a hoop loom, and some of the basic circular weaving techniques, including tabby, soumak, inlay and free form, which you can use in all types of weaving projects. You’ll leave the class with your very own circular weaving! This intro class is perfect for beginners and individuals with some weaving experience.
