GIVE LOVE AT RIVERVIEW STATION!

310 ART and the Studios at Riverview Station celebrate Love in the second Annual “Give Love” event on FEB 10TH, 10-5. What better way to chase away the chills of winter than the warmth of a fun family friendly event in the largest building in the River Arts District!
There will be lots of new heartwarming art, music, hand-on, demos, a stupendous raffle of a basket of handmade goods made by the over 60 artists in the building!
Here are some “Don’t Miss” events during “Give Love”!
• Get a chance to win the raffle for every studio you visit (and three chances for every purchase in each studio) – many items donated! Pick up your “PasspART” at 310 ART GROUND FLOOR, and Studio #225 SECOND FLOOR before you begin your tour of the building and ask for a sticker in each studio! (21 yrs old and older)

• Free Hands-On AT 310 ART! Make a personal card for your favorite person. Family Friendly activity, materials provided! Markers, pens, stickers and more!

• A live musical performance by the band “Rooster” in the Canopy Studios from 3-5pm

• Demos include Encaustic (painting with hot wax) from 1-4, Hand-printing from 12:30 to 4:30, drawing and watercolor, oil painting, hand built sculpture and More throughout the day! All at 310 ART. Many other demos in the building throughout the day.

• See a full range of art including paintings, ceramics, jewlery, textiles, mixed media, one-of-a-kind wearables, photography, glass, Art and Plants and more!

• A Community Day at Asheville Print Studio ground floor. See the printmakers make fabulous art!

• Enjoy festive music throughout the building, and of course FOOD and Refreshments! Make free hot tea, cocoa, coffee and enjoy Valentimes candy, snacks at 310ART. Be sure to make a stop at Newstock Food on the ground floor for lunch, drinks, and take home a delicious gourmet meal and craft teas at “The Pot Stirred” at the Canopy Studio, second floor over The Art Garden!.

“Peonies” by Susan Sinyai, 18 x 26 and is ink/oil stick on arches paper symbolize a host of positive messages – romance, for one; good fortune, a happy marriage, honor… And, it is an exquisite flower, as Susan says,” it is a delicate, yet “weighty” bloom (perhaps so full of positivity!). The lovely little buds remind us of good things to come. In my painting I sought to express both aspects of this beautiful flower. Susan Sinyai at 310 ART
Heather Clements features “Big Love – Blooming Southern Roses” watercolor and graphite, 18″x24″. This piece from the “Blooming” series expresses a surrendering to the unknowable and uncontrollable in life, through a deep connection with nature. She comments, “The more I connect with nature, the more I accept. I created paintings with elements of loose experimentation overlapped with tight realism to show that dichotomy of control-surrender.”
