The Third Biannual Showcase of Mandala Artwork at Foundation Studios!
We’ve loved curating the collections in 2020 and 2022 so much that we’re ready for another gathering of hypnotizing geometric pieces in 2024!
‘Mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘circle.’ The roots of these sacred circles go back thousands of years to ancient Buddhist and Hindu meditation ceremonies. Early artists saw the mandala as a representation of the universe–intricate and multi-faceted, yet united as one force at a central point. Over time these emblems have appeared across cultures as ever-evolving symbols of unfolding consciousness. The mandala is ultimately an inter-religious as well as secular tool used for meditation and introspection.
This group show features around 15 resident artists and 10 guest artists. Prepare to be hypnotized by rotational symmetry!
