“Of Chaos and Peace: beauty in both” opening reception

About the Exhibition:

Julieta Fumberg’s solo show, Of Chaos and Peace: beauty in both, exhibits from March 1st through March 31st, with an opening reception March 9th from 5–7pm at the Pink Dog Gallery, 348 Depot Street, Asheville, NC. Fumberg states, “We need the darkness to see the light and the contrast of things. The human heart beats, in and out, creating the contrast that it needs to sustain life. Join me as I exhibit my most recent work. Let’s spark some light into the world.”

About Julieta:

“I am a multidisciplinary visual artist. My main mediums are acrylics, watercolors, graphic design, and photography. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a magical city full of culture and art. I lived in a few places along the way before finding a wonderful home in the mountains of Asheville. I believe that being creative is a way of life and I am lucky enough to do what I love every day. My style is very urban and disruptive, full of color and boldness in all the mediums I work in.

I have always loved art, one of my most dear memories is from when I was about 7 years old in an art class at school in Buenos Aires. I remember in detail all the art supplies, the kiln for ceramics, the tables, and the smells.

Art fires up my soul, and I feel like a messenger and a message is just coming through me.”
