Introducing, Twin Star Tribe, A Ritual Herbal School and Newest Addition to Art Garden AVL!
Twin Star Tribe has moved in to The Canopy at Art Garden AVL, as a part of The Goldenrod Collective, now in studio number #320-a.
Twin Star has been training folks in the Art, Science, and Spirit of Herbalism for over two decades.
Twin Star Tribe is a Spirit Based Herbal & Energetic School offering community classes, workshops including
Herbalism and Flower Essence Certificate Programs, Green Witch and Goddess Trainings, Sacred Travel and Ritual Jewelry.
Founder Lupo Passero began her own herbal education, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in the late 90’s. She quickly went from student, to a beloved local herbal educator and flower essence practitioner. In 2008, after sharing her knowledge and her love of the southern plant medicines, with hundreds of area students, she relocated to the Northeast. Shortly afterwards, Lupo launched Twin Star Herbal Education and Community Apothecary in Connecticut. In January of 2023, Lupo returned to Asheville and slowly began offering her unique style of Ritual Herbalism, in the home of her heart, once again.
Lupo says, “I am elated to return as a full time herbal educator in Asheville and offer our unique, one of a kind, in person classes and certificate programs on the various aspects of energetic herbalism.”
Twin Star joins the River Arts District in the Art Garden Building and will be holding an open house when they
officially open in February.
This innovative school brings with them their most popular offering: the Foundations of Herbalism certificate
training program. This program runs throughout the growing season and begins in March, running through
October. This well loved program prepares students to walk the path of the Community Herbalist. Each class
emphasizes the numerous herbs, flower essences, aromatics and energetic practices that support and nourish the body, mind and spirit. Throughout the course, participants spend time in both the herbal classroom (located in RAD) and various botanically abundant outdoor locations around the Asheville area. Students will experience plant walks to learn the diverse bio-region and medicine making. Twin Star honors and recognizes the significant connection between well-being and our direct relationship with nature. This program provides the opportunity to continually deepen that bond by spending time in Nature’s classroom discovering the numerous healing benefits of the plants that grow all around us.
“I feel blessed to have studied and for many years taught herbal medicine in one of the most botanically biodiverse areas of the country. The Appalachian Mountains are blessed with such incredible plants and plant loving people and I am thrilled to embark upon our first year of offering our Foundations of Herbalism program here in Asheville,” shares Lupo.
Students who want to join can register at twinstartribe.com/foundations-of-herbalism-asheville, and if
they sign up before January 31st they will receive $250 off the total cost of the program.
