Karen Keil Brown
KKB Studio

Picture
Karen Keil Brown lives in Asheville. She has a BA degree, (fine art) from UNC-Asheville and 10 years experience as an art teacher in the school system. Karen has numerous works of art in private and corporate collections through out the United States. She also enjoys giving back to the community by donating her art work to non-profits and volunteering for Arts for Life. Her recent work can be seen at the River Arts District, Warehouse studio #3 and at the Asheville Gallery of Art, downtown Asheville!

I hope to share with my viewers the passion I have for the ever changing landscape of WNC.. As I attempt to transfer that beauty to the canvas, enjoy the soft visual effect as you get lost in the distant horizon.

Patricia L. Phillips

Picture
_Patricia is a goldsmith artist, creating one-of-a-kind works. Each piece is hand wrought in gold and silver, starting from sheet and wire, with gemstones added occasionally. The technique incorporated are pulled from modern to ancient methods designed to please the eye through balance. They are small sculptural art forms which speak of a blend between delicate grace and strength as part of self-expression.

Brad Stroman

Picture
My paintings reflect the intimate and fragile relationship between man and nature. By incorporating the Japanese Zen Buddhist aesthetic of wabi-sabi I can create a stage where both nature and man-made surfaces and objects play out their balancing act. The aesthetic of wabi-sabi encourages a contemplative look at our lives through a meditative and disciplined search for humility and an understanding of our place in the physical world. It professes a belief that all things are incomplete, impermanent, and imperfect. One will discover the interaction of those tenets throughout the images in my acrylic compositions. I am represented by galleries across the US.

Mary Webster
Mary Webster and Associates

Picture
I graduated from the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and Tufts University with a diploma and an MFA. Faced with the question most artists face,"How can I make a living as an artist?", I chose to be an artist, muralist and decorative painter. I've painted miles and miles of commissioned work and many private pieces over the past 20 years. It's been a wonderful journey! I recently moved to the wonderful city of Asheville. I hope to continue to paint murals, decorative paint and create new personal work inspired by my new surroundings.

Oil on Canvas and Oil and Gold Leaf on wood.
