Opening Reception: Who am I? Who are We? “Introductions, Please”

For the month of March, the River Arts District invites artists to explore the topic of ““Introductions”. We are excited to feature the paintings of gallery artist Andreina Bates in the spirit of this invitation.

Local artist Andreina Bates will share a brand new beautiful mixed media painting at ArtPlay that gives us a window into her multi-faceted sense of identity and how she weaves together different layers of self that “seem to contradict each other, yet somehow they also complement each other perfectly.”

She writes: ” I’m a child of God, a dreamer, an artist, a mom, an engineer, a daughter, a wife, a stubborn Taurus, a sister and a proud Venezuelan.”

This beautiful new piece of Andreina’s also coincides with Women’s History Month.
